Track replacement was inevitable

Click for larger picture ! Picture on right: This reconstrudtion provides an unfamiliar insight into the usually covered areas of the layout, view from Wilhelmstal (see trackplan ).		After a long time a greater reconstruction scheme was started on the right segment of the WEK layout: During the years some deterioration of the track occured, that didn't allow repair from underneath or the side apertures. Because also the scenery wasn't quite up to date with nowadays standards, the management started a systematic land clearance project.

	Left: View in direction to Wilhelmstal. Right: The new tunnel mouth of the "Heikeberg"-tunnel is already installed. The base for the scenery is already beginning to grow (expanded Polystyrene).

	Left: The safety device (rubber band) has also been renewed. Right: The new tunnel mouth (upper loop). The walls have been modelled with modelling clay and Wills injection moulded polystyrene sheet.
